• Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect usage statistics such as how users navigate the app, which questions they view, and app performance metrics. This data is anonymous and helps us improve the application.

2.2 Data You Provide

• Leaderboard Scores: If you participate in quizzes and choose to appear on the leaderboard, we store your quiz scores and username in Firebase Firestore.
• Bookmarks: Your bookmarked questions are stored locally on your device using IndexedDB. We do not store this data on our servers.
• Settings & Preferences: Your theme preference, language settings, and other app settings are stored locally on your device.

2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personal identification information unless you voluntarily provide it through the leaderboard feature.
• We do not track your location (though the app has location permission for calculating prayer times when you enable it).
• We do not collect data about other apps on your device.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Analytics & Improvement: Firebase Analytics data helps us understand how you use the app so we can improve features, fix bugs, and optimize performance.
• Leaderboard Display: Quiz scores are stored to display competitive leaderboards when you choose to participate.
• App Functionality: Data is used solely to provide and improve the app's features.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google): We use Firebase Analytics and Firestore for analytics and leaderboard functionality. Firebase is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and Standard Contractual Clauses.
• GitHub Pages: The web version is hosted on GitHub Pages. Please review GitHub's privacy policy at github.com/site-policy/privacy-policies.

5. Data Retention

• Local Data: Bookmarks, settings, and quiz history stored on your device persist until you delete the app or clear the app data.
• Firebase Analytics: Analytics data is retained for 14 months from collection date.
• Leaderboard Data: Quiz scores remain on the leaderboard indefinitely unless you request deletion.

6. Your Rights & Choices

• Local Data: You can clear all local app data (bookmarks, settings, history) through your device settings.
• Analytics Opt-out: You can disable analytics by adjusting your device's privacy settings or through the app's settings menu (if available).
• Leaderboard Removal: Contact us to request removal of your scores from the leaderboard.
• Data Export/Deletion: Contact us to request a copy of your data or deletion of leaderboard scores.

7. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete such information.

We take security seriously. Firebase and GitHub Pages are industry-leading platforms with strong security measures. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. We encourage you to use strong device security practices.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of changes.
